JLC Osaka explains our Unique Green and Pink Colors

When we at JLC Osaka decided to build our site, one of the most important aspects that we considered was the use of colors on our sites. We spent many days coming up with various color combinations that would be pleasing to the eye but furthermore, we wanted colors that would reflect something very traditional of Japanese culture and also our colors were to be 100% unique unlike other Japanese sites out there.
The JLC Osaka sites colors can be known right away whenever one makes a visit, you will know that you are on a JLC Osaka website.
Lets explain how we chose these colors for our Website, Logo and overall brand :-)
Our Green is taken from Matcha - Japanese Kanji (抹茶)
The Green color that runs through our sites and logos was depicted from the color of the Japanese Matcha powder which is used to make Traditional Matcha Green tea. The Green color characteristics of JLC Osaka are almost identical to Matcha powder and are deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture. The cultural activity in Japan which is called the Japanese tea ceremony centers around the preparation, serving, and drinking of Matcha.
Japanese Matcha tea is served at many special occasions and even when you enter any office or some stores in Japan, customers may be served Japanese Matcha tea. Matcha is one of the upmarket Green Teas of Japan. Matcha powder is also used to make many things likes Cakes, Deserts, Soba Noodles, Ice Cream and much more apart from Traditional Matcha tea.
Our Pink is taken from Sakura - Japanese Kanji (桜 or 櫻)
The color pink was chosen because it represents the color of the flowers of the Sakura Tree ( Cherry Blossoms ). A Cherry Blossom is the name for the flower of cherry trees known as Sakura in Japan. Probably the most admired feature of Japan when these flowers bloom during the Spring season.

Sakura flowers are very important to Japan and is rooted deep in our culture. Many national emblems in Japan use Sakura flowers as symbols and this includes our 100 Yen coin.
When we mixed these 2 colors together, we basically fell in love with it since these colors are unique and represent some of the most important aspects of Japanese tradition and culture.
We decided to use these unique colors to represent JLC Osaka to the world.
