Japanese Symbols KatakanaOf Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana Japanese symbols, the Katakana symbols are considered to be the easiest to learn by many though some will argue Hiragana is much easier than Katakana. Both are part of the Kana syllabaries. English characters into Katakana Japanese symbols is not an easy task as it may seem. Along with the standard Katakana set of 46 symbols, also adopted are smaller sets of Katakana symbols such as "ya" "yu" "yo" that come into play when translating somewhat more complex names and words.

A person fully knowledgeable in Japanese Kanji symbols and Hiragana symbols will still need to learn and practice Katakana symbols in order to implement this set of symbols to proper use.

Katakana Japanese symbols are very popular in the use of Tattoos. The Japanese Katakana symbols are so aesthetic in their calligraphy that they often find their way to many tattoo designs. Straight, sharp edge strokes are most common with the Katakana symbols script.
